Our food philosophy is simple: We only serve fresh, whole foods, plant-based (vegan) meals prepared with organic vegetables sourced locally or grown in our garden. We exercise complete control over exactly what goes into our food and into our bodies, and we invite you to peek into our open air kitchen to see the process. We never use MSG, palm oil, processed white sugar, or high fructose corn syrup. We minimize our use of processed foods, preferring to make our own curry pastes, peanut butter, and organic soy milk. This takes a little bit more time, but it adds a LOT of extra love to the food that we prepare, and you can taste the difference. Our Thai master chef has over 30 years of cooking experience, including 10 years teaching Thai cooking. She prides herself on simple, clean, home-style Thai cooking with authentic taste, while remaining committed to keeping the kitchen organic and healthy. Who knew that vegan Thai food could taste so delicious?
Our menu is always changing, but you can expect a typical breakfast to include a “make your own” vegan breakfast bowl of local fresh cut fruit, oatmeal, muesli, coconut and soy milk, and an assortment of nutrient dense superfoods like chia seeds, cashews, homemade peanut butter, goji berries, ground flaxseed, cinnamon, sesame seeds, raisins, and psyllium husk. Healthy raw green smoothies are available upon request. All this and locally grown gourmet coffee and tea to make sure that you’re wide awake after that deep svasana. Lunch at Suan Sati is a light affair, with raw green or Thai salads, soups, and fresh seasonal fruit. Dinners feature plenty of Thai food like stir fry and curry, but a constantly rotating menu ensures that you never want to miss what our chef is whipping up.
Our garden is over half an acre and completely organic. That means NO chemicals and NO GMOs. Our crops are always rotating, but we regularly grow a variety of salad greens, kale, tomatoes, cucumbers, chilies, galangal, turmeric, beans, sprouts, and pumpkins in our garden, which is only two meters from the kitchen. Farm to table has a very literal meaning at Suan Sati.
If you have any specific food allergies or concerns, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you. We are familiar with common food allergies and gluten intolerance, so book with confidence knowing that our chef knows how to cook for you.
