Suan Sati will be leading a 200 hour yoga teacher training course June 9th – July 6th. The main focus of this course will be Hatha and Vinyasa asana practice, Vipassana meditation, and Bhakti yoga, the yoga of devotion. We will also highlight traditional yoga philosophy, Buddhism, Yin Yoga, and lots of work opening the voice to support the Bhakti yoga practice. This course will fulfill all requirements of Yoga Alliance in order to be registered as a certified 200 hour yoga teacher.

Sample schedule:

Course will run Monday through Saturday, with Saturdays being half days until lunch. Sundays are a day of rest and self-study. Students can go into town on their time off, or stay on site. Meals are provided throughout the weekend at no additional charge.

10:30-1 – Anatomy/Philosophy/Teaching methodology

1-2:30 – Lunch

2:30-3:45 – Teaching Methodology

4-6 – Afternoon Practice

7:30-8:30 – Meditation/Scriptural Study/Pranayama/Kirtan

Course requirements:

  • – Minimum 2 years of consistent yoga practice. 1 year of experience will be considered if the yogi has considerable dedication to their practice, i.e. daily practice in an intensive environment.
  • – A positive, determined attitude and an open mind receptive to new teachings/ideas. You will be tested both mentally and physically during this course and we must be sure that you are up to the challenge.
  • – Complete our application form and interview to determine suitability.
  • – Upon acceptance into the training program, a deposit of $300 USD will be required to reserve your space

*It is important to note that not everyone who participates in a yoga teacher training course wants to be a yoga teacher afterwards. Some do it only to deepen their own practice. We welcome all students and all motivations for doing this course. Significant attention will be given to the art of teaching, but even this can be seen as a window into how to deepen one’s own practice.


Dormitory – $2,400 USD

Shared bungalow (2 beds) – $2,650 USD

Price includes all course fees, food and accommodation for all nights of the course, and round-trip transportation from the airport or Chiang Mai city center on the day before the course begins.
