Suan Sati hosts 6 day 5 night meditation and yoga retreats at our center in Chiang Mai from October to February. This yoga retreat is focused on bringing you into a deeper awareness of your body, mind, and heart in order to align your daily actions with your life’s intention. The retreat features twice daily yoga and meditation sessions, daily workshops on a diverse group of topics, and plenty of time to relax and unwind. A yoga retreat at Suan Sati will bring you deeper into your authentic self in an open-hearted, fun way. Here you will be supported by the community of like-minded people dedicated to self-discovery.

While on your retreat, you are invited to observe a digital detox. This is a great chance to disconnect from the outer world and to connect deeper with yourself, the other retreat participants, and the retreat program itself. While some may have initial resistance to being “disconnected” for a few short days, from our experience, by the end of the retreat it is appreciated by all. If you have some urgent need to connect, of course we will give you a short hotspot. We understand that some people have family issues that require attention or other urgent business. We just ask that any device usage is done away from other guests so as not to distract them from their digital detox.

Meditation and Yoga Program

We practice Vipassana meditation as a meditation practice, but retreat participants are welcome to practice in their own personal style that suits them. Buddhist teachings are offered to support this meditation practice and also the practice of Life. In the morning, the yoga is dynamic, varying between Hatha and Vinyasa with other elements mixed in that we’ve learned along the path. In the afternoon, generally we practice a gentle slow flow, restorative, or yin style designed to cool and balance the morning class. Beginner yogis as well as experienced practitioners are welcome! The teaching style integrates all students in multi-level classes with options for those with injuries and limitations and also for those who want to build fire while taking their practice to the next level. All-Inclusive Price

Co-ed (Mixed) Dorm – 9,000 Baht

Shared Round House (2 double beds) – 10,500 Baht per person

Queen Room – 11,000 Baht for a single, 20,000 Baht for a couple

*This is the price for the entire retreat, not per night!

**If you book back-to-back retreats, the second retreat will be discounted 500 baht.

What’s Included?

Suan Sati’s Winter Retreat is all-inclusive of 3 plant-based meals per day, accommodation, the meditation and yoga program, and round-trip transportation from our designated pickup point in the old city. We appreciate when the price that’s listed is what we actually pay, so we make sure that you don’t have to spend anything more than what’s listed. Optional things that are not included in the price are things like special desserts or private one-on-one yoga sessions.

  • 10:00 – 11:30 – Arrival and Check-in
  • 11:30 – 1:00 PM – Property Tour and Retreat Introduction
  • 1:00 – 2:00 – Lunch
  • 2:00 – 4:00 – Relax
  • 4:00 – 5:30 – Afternoon Meditation and Yoga
  • 6:00 – 7:00 – Dinner
  • 7:30 – 8:30 – Opening Ceremony

Days 2 – 5

  • 5:30 AM – Rise and Shine!
  • 6:00 – 8:15 – Morning Meditation and Yoga
  • 8:45 – 9:30 – Healthy Breakfast
  • 9:30 – 10:30 – Relax
  • 11:00 – 12:00 PM – Morning workshop
  • 12:00 – 1:00 – Relax
  • 1:00 – 2:00 – Lunch
  • 2:00 – 4:00 – Relax
  • 4:00 – 5:30 – Afternoon Meditation and Yoga
  • 6:00 – 7:00 – Dinner
  • 7:30 – 8:30 – Evening activity

Day 6

  • 5:30 AM – Rise and Shine!
  • 6:00 – 8:00 – Morning Meditation and Yoga
  • 8:00 – 9:30 – Healthy Breakfast
  • 9:30 – 11:00 – Closing Ceremony
  • 11:00 – Transport Departs Back to Old City

2019/2020 Retreat Dates

For this special winter program, we only accept guests who are able to join the entire retreat from 10 AM check-in on the first morning until the closing ceremony on the last day. Shorter stays are not accepted during this time.
